Toulon star Matt Giteau rolled out the welcome mat to fellow Australian international Drew Mitchell earlier this week - with hilarious consequences.

Mitchell, who signed for the deep-pocketed French club earlier this year, completed the switch from the Waratahs this week and Giteau was there to greet him.

His old mate could not help but poke fun at the lack of a welcoming committee at the airport - unlike his new team-mates Bryan Habana and Ali Williams who landed in the south of France with a media fanfare.
