Castres Rory Kockott was on Monday named Top 14 Players' Player of the Year for the 2012-13 season.

Kockott's 376 points helped Castres to the title and saw him beat Wesley Fofana and Sitiveni Sivivatu to the honour. Kockott has been heavily linked with Racing Metro but has been Castres' star player in their first two matches of this season's Heineken Cup campaign.

At the awards ceremony, Kockott's Castres were named team of the year while Fofana scooped French player of the year. Brive's Julien Caminati was crowned PRO D2 player of the season while Mathieu Raynal got the referee's prize.
