Toulon coach Bernard Laporte has been hit with a 13-week suspension for his outburst following their loss to Grenoble in January.

Toulon lost the game in the closing stages and Laporte vented his frustration at referee Laurent Cardona post-match describing him as "hopeless" and "completely incompetent".

Following a hearing on February 5, the Ligue Nationale de Rugby committee has slammed Laporte with a lengthy ban that prevents him from any involvement with the team on match day. He is free to return on May 14.

Toulon have also been hit with a €10,000 fine.
