New signing Toby Flood has been passed fit to play in Toulouse's opening Top 14 fixture against Oyonnax on Saturday.

Doubts were cast on Flood's availability after the fly-half picked up a slight injury in Toulouse's final pre-season match with Bayonne last weekend.

However, his return will come as a boost to coach Guy Noves, with fellow fly-half Luke McAlister sidelined with an abdominal injury.

Gillian Galan, who impressed in last season's Heineken Cup, could miss out while club capatain Thierry Dusautoir Schalk Ferreira, Chiliboy Ralepelle and Louis Picamoles are all expected to sit out the opener.

Toulouse have strengthened their side with five players ahead of the new campaign; Flood has been joined at Stade Ernest Wallon by Corey Flynn, Imanol Harinordoquy, Alexis Palisson and Neemia Tialata.

The club has been predicted to finish in the top six by Martin Gillingham, who previewed the new Top 14 campaign for ESPN.
