Castres' miserable start to the new Top 14 season continued as Toulouse eased to a dominant bonus-point 35-6 victory at Stade Ernest Wallon on Friday.

The visitors arrived having not won in Toulouse for 36 years and were soon under pressure as Toby Flood's penalty put the four-time European champions in front.

Flood missed two further penalty attempts, which allowed Rory Kockott to level the scores, but converted Gael Fickou's try to send the hosts 13-6 ahead at the break.

Jean-Marc Doussain stretched the advantage with a try shortly after the interval, which Flood converted. Maxime Medard then latched on to Doussain's lofted chip before Toulouse saw Thomas Ramos red-carded within minutes of coming on for kicking on Mihaita Lazar.

Sebastien Bezy's late try was converted by Flood to make victory certain, leaving last season's beaten finalists Castres with two defeats from their opening two fixtures.
