France boss Marc Lievremont has resisted the urge to tinker with his squad as they prepare to take on Ireland at the Stade de France on Saturday, making only two injury-enforced changes.

Lievremont's side began their Six Nations with an impressive win over Scotland at Murrayfield but picked up several injuries, which did not prevent the coach from naming an unchanged squad on Monday.

Nevertheless, Clermont Auvergne wing Aurelien Rougerie, who lasted only minutes after putting in two crushing hits, was ruled out on Tuesday for up to three weeks with Brive's Alexis Palisson called up. Castres prop Luc Ducalcon was also withdrawn from the squad and replaced by Toulouse's Jean-Baptiste Poux.

There were also concerns over Bayonne wing Benjamin Fall, leading to Clermont's Julien Malzieu receiving a call-up.

"It's been a while since there was continuity in the France team, given injuries and dips in form," Lievremont said.
