Perpignan flanker Gregory Le Corvec has been handed a 40-day ban after being cited for a clash with Clermont Auvergne's Canadian international forward Jamie Cudmore. The sanction was handed down by a Ligue National de Rugby (LNR) disciplinary panel in the wake of an incident during Clermont's Top 14 victory at the Stade Marcel Michelin on March 5. Le Corvec,33, has already missed fixtures due to a pre-inquiry suspension and will now be unavailable until April 17. The once-capped back-rower will miss vital games in the season run-in as the reigning champions take on struggling Stade Francais and high-flying Castres. Perpignan have announced that they will not be appealing the decision. © Scrum.com
