France coach Marc Lievremont has dropped scrum-half Morgan Parra and centre Damien Traille for their vital Six Nations clash against England at Twickenham on Saturday.

The duo are among four changes from the starting XV that stuttered to victory over Ireland last time out, with flanker Julien Bonnaire and fullback Clement Poitrenaud also axed.

Parra is replaced by Biarritz's Dimitri Yachvili while Toulouse midfielder Yannick Jauzion has ousted Traille from the No.12 jersey. Bonnaire drops out of the 22 due to Sebastien Chabal's recall to the back-row at No.8 with Imanol Harinordoquy moving to the openside berth.

Maxime Medard switches to fullback in place of Poitrenaud. The Toulouse flyer has been replaced out wide by his club team-mate, Vincent Clerc, but is a doubt for the game after missing training on Tuesday with a thigh problem.

Reports from L'Equipe suggest that Medard is due to undergo an MRI scan to determine the extent of the injury.

Defence coach Dave Ellis has promised to stop England enjoying the freedom they did in a rout of Italy two weeks ago. "First and foremost, you've got to stop giving England decent ball," Ellis told The Daily Telegraph. "Italy gave them far too much. They just let them play. They were allowed to play at their own tempo. We won't let them do that."
