Toulouse have agreed to release their forwards coach Yannick Bru at the end of the season to allow him to join Philippe Saint-Andre's backroom staff with the French national team.

Bru's contract expires with les Rouge et Noir in June 2012 and he will carry out an arrangement similar to what Shaun Edwards previously had with Wasps where he will coach the national side during the Six Nations before returning to club duty until the end of his Toulouse contract. Bru's release dates will be the same windows as the French players during the 2012 tournament.

And a similar agreement is expected to be ratified in the next few days to allow Biarritz's Patrice Lagisquet to join Saint-Andre's set-up as another assistant coach. He will reportedly join the Federation Francaise de Rugby (FFR) from December 1 on a full-time contract but will spend time with former side Biarritz outside of his international duties until the end of the season.

The French team has had a strong contingent of Toulouse players in the past - with the likes of Vincent Clerc, Maxime Medard and Thierry Dusautoir all appearing for Les Bleus during the 2011 World Cup - and les Rouge et Noir's club president Rene Bouscatel said he "didn't have the right to stop him [Bru] from experiencing such an adventure."
