Italy skipper Sergio Parisse has signed a new contract with Top 14 giants Stade Francais.

The back-row - widely regarded as one of the standout No.8's in world rugby - has put pen to paper on a new deal to keep him in Paris until 2016. Parisse joined Stade from Treviso back in 2005 and was a key part in their 2007 title-winning squad. The Italian has accrued 83 caps to date and is likely to play an instrumental role in their side for the 2012 Six Nations.

And Stade have also tied down Julien Arias on a similar deal. The winger will also stay at the Parisian club until 2016. Stade kept their Amlin Challenge Cup campaign ticking over with a commanding 45-3 win over Crociati on Thursday.
