Bayonne forward Francois Carillo has been moved out of intensive care having suffered a suspected heart problem last weekend.

The 24-year-old was taken to hospital on Saturday night having collapsed while warming up ahead of his side's Top 14 clash with Mont-de-Marsan at the Stade Jean Dauger. AFP reports that a heart specialist team gave Carillo cardiac massage before the player was taken to hospital and placed on a respirator.

However, the player has since regained consciousness and spoken with his family and club representatives. A hospital statement on Monday reported: "No anomalies were detected from all the tests carried out since Saturday evening. His general condition is still constantly improving."

Doctors have also reportedly revealed that Carillo will not suffer any after effects from the incident although the illness had yet to be diagnosed and that further test would be required. "New tests are being conducted to determine the precise reason for the problem," the statement added.
