Castres pay compensation to keep Rory Kockott

Scrum-half Rory Kockott is about to turn his back on a proposed end-of-season move to Toulon and sign a new two-year deal which will keep him at Castres when he meets with club president Pierre-Yves Revol.

The local media reported that Kockott had signed a pre-contract with Toulon and as a result Castres may have to pay up to €400,000 to re-sign their own player.

Aside from a substantial pay rise, it is reported recent signings were a reason Kockott changed his mind.

In October he was named the Top 14 Players' Player of the Year for the 2012-13 season.
