Argentina fullback Juan Martin Hernandez has left Racing Metro and looks set to return home to continue his rugby career.

Hernandez, 32, joined Racing Metro from the Sharks in 2010 and has lined up both at fullback and No.10 for the Top 14 side. He has spent the majority of his professional rugby career in Paris having played for Stade Francais for six years from 2003 through to 2009 but L'Equipe reports his time in France has come to an end and he will continue his career in Argentina.

With Argentina having a franchise in the 2016 Super Rugby tournament, Hernandez is likely to play some role for them and in the meantime he will play in their domestic league alongside running out for the Pumas in the forthcoming Rugby Championship and November internationals.

Hernandez has also been linked with a short-term move to his old side Stade Francais as they have room for an injury joker with Hugo Bonneval sidelined.
