France head coach Philippe Saint-Andre admitted he did not know he was being filmed while reading his players the riot act during a half-time dressing down in their victory against Romania.

A camera in the France dressing room broadcast Saint-Andrade going berserk at his players at the Olympic Stadium during last Wednesday's Pool D clash, before Les Bleus eventually ran out comfortable winners in Stratford.

However, with Thursday's match against Canada in mind, Saint-Andre was in jovial mood during his team announcement press conference.

"To be honest, I didn't think about the fact that there may have been one or two cameras," Saint-Andre said. "A coach needs to be able to scream when needed, and to congratulate his players when things are going well.

"Apparently cameras are mandatory, so next time I'm getting upset, we'll go under the showers."

France's match with Canada will take place in Milton Keynes, meaning Saint-Andre's side will finally leave their Croydon World Cup base.

South London has been a traumatic base for the France team: prop Uini Atonio revealed how a rowdy set of wedding guests spoiled his first night's sleep in their four-star Selsdon Park Hotel, while a traffic warden also reportedly issued a parking ticket to the team's bus earlier in September.

Saint-Andre added: "We'll certainly be sad and be leaving with a crying eye [laughs]. Yesterday, I warmly thanked the hotel staff, which did everything for us, and the school, where the facilities were absolutely amazing."

Saint-Andre has only retained three players from the XV who started against Romania, but indicated they must show better discipline at Stadium MK - and also be savvy with their on-field communications.

"We have to be better in the rucks. In modern rugby, there are 150-180 rucks per match, so we have to be more accurate. I expect my team to be better in this area and show more discipline on Thursday," he said.

"We know that several Canadians speak French, so we'll have to be smart when communicating on the field."
