France No.8 Imanol Harinordoquy has called for his side to exhibit perfect discipline as they go in search of their first Six Nations win of the season against Scotland on Saturday.

Ireland dispatched France last weekend at Croke Park, but Marc Lievremont's stuttering side showed some excellent flashes despite the disappointing result. Now Biarritz back-row Harinordoquy, who was on the score-sheet in Dublin, has called on his team-mates to cut out their mistakes as they look to down Frank Hadden's Scotland.

"We made too many errors against Ireland and at this level, even if you play really well, you are not going to win by giving your opponents the chance to stay in a match by handing them easy points," he said. "We have seen the French clubs have problems here in the Heineken Cup. They are punished too many times.

"Refereeing in the Top 14 is different and maybe we get away with too many things in our championship. You can't get away with it at this level. Nowadays, all the teams have great kickers. So against a Scotland team who can keep hold of the ball for a long time and who are often dangerous, we need to make sure we have a lot more discipline. Discipline will be the order of the day."

Scotland also endured a frustrating afternoon against Wales last weekend, losing out 26-13 to the current champions. They have made a raft of changes for the trip to Paris, with the in-form Evans borothers set to inject some pace into their attack.

"We saw the way they played in the last 20 minutes against Wales," said Harinordoquy. " And in November, they weren't too far from embarrassing South Africa (the Springboks came from 10-0 down to win 14-10). Against New Zealand, they had numerous chances to score without taking them. So they are a dangerous team who mustn't be allowed to play. It will be a tough match and that is all the better for us."
