Tournaments/Tours: French Top 14

Toulon scrum-half Pierre Mignoni has declared that the 'sky is the limit' following their 19-6 victory over Top 14 leaders Castres on Saturday.

The win at Stade Mayol all but confirmed a top six finish and a play-off place for Philippe Saint-Andre's side, putting twelve points between themselves and seventh-placed Brive, with just four games remaining in the regular season.

"We have a lot of ambition," the veteran told Var Matin. "We think we have the ability to win things, perhaps even the Championship. But we are realists at the same time. That's why the next couple of matches are going to be really important. But if you play in a quarter final or a semi, anything is possible. We're not there yet and we've got games to play but we'll give it everything."

Meanwhile Stade Francais coach Jacques Delmas could not conceal his frustration after watching his sides' playoff hopes all but extinguished in a 26-14 defeat away to Brive.

"It's infuriating," declared Delmas in an interview with Midi Olympique. "We started the game really poorly and gave away three points at the beginning. It's difficult to go on like this. I hope the return of our internationals and our injured players will allows us to lift our heads again as each match from now on is going to be hugely important."

Champions Perpignan kept up their hopes for a home draw in the playoffs with a hard-fought 19-14 win over Biarritz.

"We're happy to get the points and the win," centre Maxime Mermoz told l'Equipe. "Biarritz were really strong and well organised. We had an unusual week with [Gregory Le Corvec's] citing and disruptions to training but we stuck together and that was enough to win."
