Malcolm O'Kelly and Alan Quinlan will face some familiar faces on Friday night when they roll out to face Ireland in the colours of the Barbarians.

The forward duo will start for the Baa Baas as they attempt to storm Thomond Park, while Munster fullback Paul Warwick will also be on familiar turf at his home ground. O'Kelly will retire at the end of season, having won 92 caps for Ireland in glittering career.

Xavier Rush will again captain the invitational side as they look to improve on last weekend's Twickenham defeat to England. Paul Sackey, who scored a brace against his former team-mates, has been bracketed on the bench as he continues to recover from a hamstring problem.

In the wake of the Guinness Premiership and Top 14 finals last weekend, there are two new faces in the form of Saracens' Schalk Brits at hooker and Clermont Auvergne's Brock James at fly-half. Wallabies legend George Smith starts in place of Martyn Williams in the back-row while Pierre Mignoni joins James at halfback, replacing Byron Kelleher.

Barbarians: Paul Warwick (Munster); Cedric Heymans (Toulouse), Casey Laulala (Cardiff Blues), Seru Rabeni (Leeds Carnegie), David Smith (Hurricanes); Brock James (Clermont Auvergne), Pierre Mignoni (Toulon); David Barnes (Bath), Schalk Brits (Saracens), Census Johnston (Toulouse), Jerome Thion (Biarritz), Malcolm O'Kelly (Leinster), Alan Quinlan (Munster), George Smith (Brumbies), Xavier Rush (Cardiff Blues, capt)
