Scotland will take Test rugby to Aberdeen this autumn when they face Samoa at Pittodrie on November 27.

Andy Robinson's men will also take on New Zealand and South Africa at Murrayfield during a taxing campaign, which kicks off against the All Blacks on November 13.

Scotland's last Test at Pittodrie, home of Aberdeen Football Club, was a 41-0 romp against Canada in November 2008, when Ospreys wing Nikki Walker crossed for a brace of tries.

Scotland skipper Chis Cusiter, born in Aberdeen, is hoping for another big occasion after missing the Canada game through injury and a 2005 meeting with the Barbarians due to Lions duty.

"It's wonderful news and I'm hoping to get on the park myself this time," he said. "One of the best things about taking international rugby to the north east is the interest in the game that being there generates.

"I know from speaking to people who help coach youngsters in the area that they saw a surge of interest and growth in participation when Scotland were here before, and that has to be our aim this time too."
