Pek Cowan has been cleared of serious injury after he was carried off the pitch on a stretcher during the Super Rugby match between New South Wales Waratahs and Western Force at Allianz Stadium on Sunday.

The Force and 10-cap Wallabies prop received lengthy treatment on the pitch before leaving the pitch in a neck brace, and he was then taken for scans at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney.

Force coach Michael Foley confirmed after the match that Cowan had experienced "tenderness in the neck" but had "feeling in the fingers and toes".

The New Zealand-born prop tweeted on Monday that he could be back playing for the team against Queensland Reds in round two.

"Thanks to everyone for the well wishes," Cowan tweeted.

"Been given the all clear, no neck or spinal abnormalities. will be right in a week!"
