Dan Carter arrived in Barcelona last night ahead of a press conference that will see Perpignan officially unveil the All Blacks flyhalf as their player.

The 26-year-old star will begin a six month sabbatical with the French club on December 1 following New Zealand's tourof the British Isles.

He was greeted at the airport by a swarm of photographers and Perpignan club president Paul Goze and coach Jacques Brunel.

Carter's first match for his new club is likely to be against Leicester Tigers in the Heineken Cup on December 6.

Perpignan are currently second in the French Top 14 championship having won four of their five matches including Saturday's tight 5-3 win against Montpellier.
