Viadana keep euro dreams alive

Arix Viadana kept their European Challenge Cup hopes alive with a 25-6 victory over Mont-de-Marsan in their Pool 5 clash at at the Stadio Luigi Zaffanella. Mont-de-Marsan fly-half Frederic Urruty opened the scoring with a penalty after just two minutes but his opposite number Charles Hore slotted two of his own to carry Viadana into the lead. Urruty then levelled things up before fullback Garry Law scored the opening try of the game for Viadana which was converted by Hore to give the hosts an 13-6 lead at the break. Law had his second try soon after the break and flanker Jaco Erasmus added a third midway through the half with Hore converting the second score. Viadana remain second in the pool behind pacesetters Saracens who they face in their next clash.
