No teams using FRIC in Germany
The FIA has confirmed no teams will run FRIC [Front and Rear Interconnected] suspension at this weekend's German Grand Prix.
The FIA's Charlie Whiting warned teams last week that he felt the systems could be deemed illegal, raising the prospect of exclusion for any team reported to the stewards for running FRIC. After the cars went through scrutineering on Thursday, however, the FIA technical delegate Jo Bauer confirmed none were fitted with FRIC.
"For information purposes, I can confirm that no car is fitted with a front to rear linked suspension system of any sort," he wrote in his technical report to the stewards.
Speaking ahead of this weekend's German Grand Prix, most of the top drivers felt the ban on FRIC would not have a major impact on the order this weekend.
