The Masters will welcome Tiger Woods back to the fold, but there will be no Jose Maria Olazabal at Augusta with the two-time winner still struggling for fitness.

The Spaniard donned the famous green jacket in 1994 and 1999, but has been battling rheumatism and his manager confirmed Olazabal is not fit enough to feature.

"He has pain in his shoulder, forearms and hands. He can't swing properly, so we won't be going," Sergio Gomez told the Press Association. "He is practising a little bit, but for not much more than an hour.

"If new miracle remedies help then he will be back, but traditional medicine is failing."

Pulling out of the tournament will be a blow to Olazabal, as it will be the first time he has missed the trip to Augusta since 1996 when he was diagnosed with rheumatoid polyarthritis.
