US PGA lets fans choose final round pin location

Organisers of this year's US PGA Championship will allow fans to choose the location for one of the holes in the final round at Oak Hill.

In an unprecedented move, fans will vote for one of four potential pin placements on the 15th - a mid-length par-three with water guarding the right of the green.

It is an innovative undertaking - although one that is unlikely to be adopted by the organisers of the year's other three major championships in the near future.

Rory McIlroy is the reigning US PGA champion, having romped to victory last year at Kiawah Island. The 2013 US PGA Championship takes place in August.
