A week after tennis ace Agnieszka Radwanska found herself in hot water after a naked pose for ESPN: The Magazine's Body Issue, Scottish golfer Carly Booth has said she regarded her own contribution as "a great opportunity".

Booth, 21, who comes from Perthshire, won the Scottish Open last year and qualified to play at this year's US Open. She said she had no regrets about the photoshoot which took place in New York at the start of the year.

"It took me a little while to decide whether I was going to do it or not," she told the Scottish Daily Record. "It's not like I'd ever done anything like it before. At the end of the day we thought it was going to be a really good opportunity. It's a very high-profile magazine, being ESPN, and is very big in America.

"To be honest, we had a couple of hours in hair and make-up. The first time you take the robe off is when you're feeling nervous a little bit. But the photographers made you feel very relaxed

"You're doing it for quite a few hours so, after the first five minutes, you relax into it. It's happening so you may as well make the most of it and enjoy it. After a few hours you kind of forget you have no clothes on. It's like they've seen you and that's it, there's nothing to hide now so what's the point in being shy.

"It was a great opportunity and if you can do that you can pretty much do anything."

Booth was one of 20 athletes featured in the Body Issue which included 77-year-old golf legend Gary Player.
