Tough day for Fisher and Garcia

Ross Fisher was unable to maintain his solid start to the Wyndham Championship after losing his lead at Greensboro, while defending champion Sergio Garcia also endured a difficult second round to the event.

Leaderboard

Fisher carded an opening round of 64 to be the joint-leader with American Chris Stroud, but the Englishman scored a 69 and is seven-under after two rounds.

Despite the dip in performance, Fisher will still consider himself to be in contention for the victory as he trails leader Patrick Reed by four shots, with the American on 11-under after matching Fisher's first round 64.

Garcia meanwhile made a solid start to the defence of his crown with an opening-round 65, but the Spaniard is now five-under after suffering two bogeys and only making a couple of birdies - a contrast to his Thursday scorecard when he made a bogey-free round and stroked in five birdies.

Fisher with two bogeys made three birdies to hit a one-under 69, and he finds himself near the top of the leaderboard, behind Reed, Charlie Wi, John Huh and youngster Jordan Spieth, who remained consistent to match his five-under 65 with a second round score of four-under 66 to be two shots off Reed.
