The Barclays leaderboard

Keegan Bradley's course record at Liberty National lasted just 24 hours as Kevin Chappell carded a stunning nine-under 62 on Saturday to move to within one at The Barclays.

Chappell, starting on the tenth, carded three birdies in his first nine holes before picking up six more shots after the turn to come home in just 30 and see the American reach 11-under par - one behind co-leaders Matt Kuchar and Gary Woodland.

The reward for Chappell's superb round is a final-day pairing with Tiger Woods, whose up-and-down round saw three bogies cancelled out by five birdies.

Tied with Woods at eight-under is Englishman David Lynn, the highest-placed Brit going in to the final round, while US Open champion Justin Rose is a shot back, alongside in-form teenager Jordan Spieth, Bubba Watson, Kevin Streelman, Jim Furyk, Rickie Fowler and Jonas Blixt.

Rory McIlroy could not recreate his second round form, and a 71 leaves the Northern Irishman six shots off the lead headed into the final day, where he is joined by the likes of Sergio Garcia and Masters champion Adam Scott.

Bradley, meanwhile, recorded 11 more shots than on Friday to fall back to four-under par.
