Henrik Stenson sealed his first PGA Tour win in two years after emerging victorious at the Deutsche Bank Championship by two shots over Steve Stricker.

Stenson's trailed overnight leader Sergio Garcia by two shots but was the man on the move during the early holes, making four birdies in the first nine after dropping a shot on the second par-5.

With play being delayed by lightning, Stenson clinched the victory by sinking a birdie on the 17th from the bunker to win the tournament on 22-under with a final round of 66.

Garcia headed into the last day as the leader, but ended it five shots off Stenson after carding a 73 to finish on 17-under. His hopes of landing the trophy disappeared when he bogeyed four of the opening nine holes.

US Open champion Justin Rose finished on 13-under, with Ian Poulter on 15-under, and Brian Davis ending as the best-placed Briton by finishing on 16-under.

World No. 1 Tiger Woods was four-under, and after his round he said: "It wasn't my week. I didn't play well and didn't make anything, so consequently I wasn't close to the lead. I just didn't putt well. I didn't have a feel for my [putting] lines. My lines were just off."
