Gallacher recovering well, says daughter Kirsty
Kirsty Gallacher has revealed her father Bernard is recovering well in hospital after the former Ryder Cup captain suffered a suspected heart attack.
Bernard Gallacher, who led Europe to victory in the 1995 Ryder Cup, was taken ill after he collapsed when due to make a speech at an event. The 64-year-old was admitted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in a critical condition.
His daughter Kirsty though says her dad is making a recovery, and posted on Twitter:
Thank you all so much for your kind messages of support, it's been quite overwhelming. Dad now making a good recovery. X
