The PGA Tour has announced its full schedule for the new season which, for the first time, will use a wrap-around format bridging two calendar years.

The 45-tournament 2013-2014 season opens with next month's Frys.com Open in California, starting October 10, and finishes, as always with the FedEx Cup-ending Tour Championship from September 11 to 14, 2014.

The six events before the turn of the year - the Frys.com Open, the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas, the CIMB Classic in Malaysia, the WGC-HSBC Champions in China, the McGladrey Classic in Georgia and OHL Classic in Mexico - all offer full FedEx Cup points for the new season.

The season then takes a break between the end of the OHL Classic on November 17 and the beginning of the traditional season opener, the Tournament of Champions in Hawaii on January 3.

The second-tier Sanderson Championship has been pushed back to the start of the 2014-2015 schedule, meaning there will be no event clashing with next year's Open Championship at Royal Liverpool between July 17 and 20.

The Masters, at Augusta National, will be held between April 10 and 13, the US Open will take place at Pinehurst from June 12 to 15, while the US PGA Championship at Valhalla will be contested between August 7 and 10.
