Watson names Floyd as US vice-captain
Raymond Floyd will serve as vice-captain for Team USA's 2014 Ryder Cup team, captain Tom Watson announced on Tuesday.
Floyd, 71, won four majors during his illustrious career. He also comes with a strong Ryder Cup background, serving as captain himself in 1989 and having been a playing member of eight different Ryder Cup teams.
Watson, an eight-time major winner, announced in July that two-time US Open champion Andy North would be a vice-captain. The Ryder Cup will be played at Gleneagles in Scotland from September 26-28.
Europe is defending champion in the event, which the US has not won in Europe since 1993.
