Donald in hunt with rain suspending play
Luke Donald kept himself in the hunt at the RBC Heritage with a second-round 69 to go two shots off the lead before play was suspended on Friday due to heavy rain.
Donald was part of a group of five at three under, with K.J. Choi is out in front after taking advantage of an early tee time to shoot a four-under 67.
Robert Allenby, a shot behind Choi after five holes of his second round, was among 65 players left on the course when the storm hit Harbour Town Golf Links.
Officials delayed the round shortly before 3 p.m. local time and then suspended it until Saturday morning after waiting through about 90 minutes of steady, heavy rain.
Defending champion Graeme McDowell was two under through six holes following his opening-round 71 on Thursday.
Matt Kuchar, who had a share of the lead overnight in South Carolina at five under, made two double bogeys through his first six holes to drop to one under, and is currently tied for 16th.
