Jens Dantorp and Eddie Pepperell share the lead at the Scandinavian Masters in Malmo after the pair shot a round of 66 on the opening day.

Playing in his home town, rookie Dantorp hit six birdies to top the leaderboard with England's Pepperell, who hit seven birdies but dropped a shot on the par-4 13th hole.

"This is my home course so I try to play it as much as I can when I'm home," Dantorp said.

"I can't really explain how good the support I got today was. All my friends, all my buddies were here and there was so much applause. That was one of the biggest keys to my success today. It definitely helped me."

World No.2 Henrik Stenson, playing at the event for the first time since 2011, hit a three-under 69 and is alongside recently-crowned Spanish Open champion Miguel Angel Jimenez.

Scot Stephen Gallacher is one of five players one shot off the lead, with Swedes Rikard Karlberg and Sebastian Soderberg in the chasing group after opening rounds of 67.
