Nick Watney shot a third-round 65 to take a one shot lead heading into the final day of the Wyndham Championship.

The American hit a bogey-free round including five birdies to move to 14 under as he bids for his sixth victory on the PGA Tour.

"Nothing changes tomorrow. Hopefully I can make quite a few birdies and keep the mistakes down." Watney said after his round.

"I've been trying to keep it pretty simple - a lot of fairways and greens, and I've been able to do that so far.

"I'm super excited about going into tomorrow with the lead. I'm looking forward to everything that comes with it, all the emotions and wanting to do well and whatnot. Learning how to handle that is a big thing, and I'm looking forward to the challenge."

Canada's Brad Fritsch lies one shot behind Watney after shooting the same score, while Swede Freddie Jacobsen (66) and Heath Slocum share third place on 12 under.

American trio Brandt Snedeker, Webb Simpson and Scott Langley are one stroke back on 11 under in a tie for fifth place.
