Pavin drops huge Ryder Cup hint on Tiger

American captain Corey Pavin looks set to ignore concerns over Tiger Woods' form by picking the world No. 1 for the Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor in October.
Pavin has revealed that he "doesn't think there are any cons" to picking Woods, who has displayed an erratic level of performance since returning to golf in April following a self-imposed five-month break.
There were signs that Woods' game was flickering back to life as he briefly threatened to challenge for the US PGA Championship at the weekend, but he was unable to sustain any momentum and finished in a tie for 28th.
He reaffirmed after the year's final Major that he was eager to participate in the Ryder Cup, and now Pavin looks set to reward him with a wildcard pick after Woods failed to finish in the automatic qualification places.
"He's the No. 1 player in the world - that's a pretty good pro," Pavin said. "Obviously I'm considering him highly, no doubt about that. He's playing better. I think we have all seen that he wants to play, he wants to be a part of the team. But it's going to be my judgment whether I pick him or not. I don't think there's any cons."
