Martin Roberts says he is excited to be going home after leaving Bath to rejoin Ospreys.

Scrum-half Roberts, who made his professional debut for the Swansea-based side in 2005, only joined Bath from Northampton last season. But after three seasons in England, Roberts is returning to Wales.

"I've really enjoyed my time at Bath," Roberts said. "But after playing for three years in the Aviva Premiership I feel that now is the right time for me to return to Wales.

"I am from Glyn Neath and the Ospreys is my home region so I am very excited about going back there. I won't be going too far, though, so I look forward to staying in touch with many of the great people I've met [at Bath]."

Bath head coach Mike Ford added: "Martin's a dynamic player and he has always given his all for Bath during his time here. We all wish him the best of luck at Ospreys."
