Luke Narraway will quit Gloucester at the end of the season after agreeing a deal with Top 14 Orange mainstays Perpignan.

The No.8, capped seven times by England, will end a long association with the Cherry and Whites, where he began his career in 2002-03. The club have recently been linked with a move for Scarlets back-rower Ben Morgan, who started England's Six Nations loss to Wales at the base of the scrum.

Gloucester's Scotland international flanker Alasdair Strokosch has already announced a move to Perpignan, where Wales fly-half James Hook also plays his club rugby.

"Luke has signed for Perpignan and will be leaving us at the end of the season," Gloucester boss Bryan Redpath said. "He's been a fine player for Gloucester and I know has enjoyed the challenge of captaincy this season.

"He's been with us for a long time but it's the nature of the game that people move on to pastures new. I think he'll do well in France and will go with our best wishes."
