Profile

Tom Brown progressed through the Scottish age-group teams and took his bow for Edinburgh in September 2010. The fullback, who can also play on the wing, had already played in two IRB Junior World Championships at this point and was establishing a name for himself as someone who had the ability to cross the tryline at ease.

Brown was named in the Scotland Sevens squad for the London and Edinburgh legs of the HSBC Sevens World Series in 2011 and soon progressed to the Scotland A stage a year later. At club level, Brown was part of the Edinburgh squad that dispatched Toulouse at the quarter-finals stage of the 2012 Heineken Cup and his impressive club form was recognised by Andy Robinson who named Brown in his squad for the three-Test southern hemisphere tour.
