Talei joins Warriors

Worcester have signed Fijian back row Netani Talei from National League One club Doncaster on a one-year contract.

Talei, 24, who has won seven caps for Fiji and is currently competing in the IRB Pacific Nations Cup, can play at flanker or number eight.

Warriors director of rugby Mike Ruddock said: ``Netani is an exceptional athlete and is a very dynamic ball carrier, footballer and defender.

``He was outstanding recently for Fiji against Japan and his current form puts him firmly in contention for a World Cup slot with the Fijian team.

``I did a large amount of homework on the best players in National One and his name came up repeatedly from my rugby contacts.''
