So, lightning didn't strike twice in Cardiff, Scotland ended up down and out in Rome and England's Grand Slam dream evaporated at Twickenham. France, Ireland and Italy were the winners from round three of this year's Six Nations and their leading lights also enjoyed a good outing in ESPNscrum's fantasy rugby.
Kicking off at the Millennium Stadium on Friday, France kept their Grand Slam hopes alive with a 26-20 victory over Wales that included interception tries for Alexis Palisson and Francois Trinh-Duc and another assured display by Morgan Parra from the kicking tee.
There were also points to be had if you had the foresight to draft Clermont's Julien Bonnaire into your back-row, the lineout master picking up the Man of the Match award.
In Rome, there was never likely to be flood of tries as Italy and and Scotland went head-to-head, the Azzurri edging it 16-12. Kudos to you if little Pablo Canavosio was inked in at No.9 in your team. The scrum-half rounded off an excellent move for the only try of the game, cancelling out a 12-point haul by Man of the Match Dan Parks, who has picked up the award in his last two Tests.
The round concluded in London, where Ireland bounced back from defeat against France by snatching a 20-16 victory from the grasp of England. The star of the show was Irish wing Tommy Bowe, whose two tries bookended their win and sealed the spoils. Dan Cole barged over for England's try while Jonny Wilkinson kicked 11 points. Man of the Match went to Ireland's No.8 Jamie Heaslip, who comprehensively outfought opposite number Nick Easter.
