Leicester Tigers have confirmed that winger Niall Morris has penned a new contract with the club.

Morris arrives at the Tigers back in the summer of 2011 and has made 26 appearances for the Aviva Premiership side, scoring seven tries in the process. The Tigers were recently handed a pre-Christmas boost with Julian Salvi and Steve Mafi opting to re-sign with the Welford Road club while Graham Kitchener, Ben Youngs and Tom Youngs have also penned new deals with the Tigers.

The 24-year-old has previously turned out for Leinster and he is delighted to have re-signed with the Tigers. "I'm really enjoying my rugby at Leicester and I was happy to agree a contract extension," Morris said. "I think I've improved a lot as a player with Tigers and that is something I want to continue to do here. I've had great support from the coaches and the players, and I want to continue to play here and do my best for the club."

Tigers director of rugby Richard Cockerill added: "Niall made a big decision to leave Ireland and come to Leicester last summer and he has been been a very important member of the squad here for the last two seasons.

"He has been improving the whole time with us. He is a good young player who is developing really well and doing a good job for us."
