Saracens number eight Jackson Wray says the Aviva Premiership title contenders are determined to keep Leicester marooned in the wrong half of the table.

The heavyweights collide at Welford Road with Saracens knowing they can displace Northampton at the summit following Saints' 24-18 defeat by Exeter on Friday.

"Any time you go to Welford Road and you get a result, that sends out a message," Wray said. "Leicester have not had the start they would want but it doesn't matter. They are going to be firing and they will be really up for it.

"It's a massive game for us and the start of a massive period. Leicester always bring that level at Welford Road and we want to have a massive game there.

"Leicester have got a very good squad and even with players away both back rows are pretty well stacked. It makes for a very exciting game."

Saracens have named Alex Goode at full-back following his return from England training while Charlie Hodgson starts in place of Owen Farrell, who is on international duty.

Former New Zealand lock Brad Thorn leads Leicester for the first time in his fifth appearance for the club. England prop Dan Cole starts at prop as he continues his comeback from the neck injury that forced him to miss the autumn internationals.

Wasps are hoping to keep themselves in top four contention when they host relegation-doomed London Welsh in Sunday's only other fixture.
