Bath and South Africa flanker Francois Louw will face no suspension after his citing for allegedly making contact with Courtney Lawes' eyes was dismissed.

The charge related to last Saturday's match at Franklins Gardens, a game Northampton won 15-14. Louw was cited for alleged foul play but will not be suspended meaning he can captain Bath in Saturday's final Aviva Premiership match against Leicester Tigers at the Recreation Ground.

The Rugby Football Union statement read: "The panel noted that the citing was justified, but with the benefit of being able to view the footage in conjunction with hearing live evidence from both players, the panel were not satisfied on the balance of probabilities that Francois Louw had made contact with the eye area of Courtney Lawes.

"The case was dismissed and he is free to play with immediate effect."
