Clermont's preparations for their Heineken Cup quarter-final against Leicester were disrupted after their entire squad was drug tested prior to training on Thursday.

The testing occurred before their morning session though exactly who commissioned the tests is ambiguous. AFP claims the drug testers said they were there to carry out the tests on behalf of the International Rugby Board though the governing body has since said they were not involved with the process.

Regardless of why the testers were there, Vern Cotter admitted Clermont "have to adapt" while Aurelien Rougerie was frustrated at the event. He said: "It's a bit annoying but not really bad. They arrived, the big brigade, to test 40 guys. It's irritating."

Prop Thomas Domingo added: "There were already [tests] last weekend after the Brive match. Maybe they'll leave us alone now. But we mustn't let that bother us; we have something more important in two days."
