Meeznah bounced back to form to claim victory in the Group Two Park Hill Stakes at Newmarket.

David Lanigan's charge ran a shocker at Goodwood last time out, but proved the form all wrong with a classy success from Set To Music.

Frankie Dettori, winning the race for the fifth time, elected to track the pace set by Irish pair Sense Of Purpose and Spin before setting sail for home with over two furlongs left to run.

Jamie Spencer aboard Set To Music tracked Meeznah through, but Dettori got first run and held the two-length advantage he nicked deep into the final furlong before pulling away when Spencer accepted defeat.

The Irish raiders enjoyed a fine time on Town Moor, with Alanza and Reply scoring for John Oxx and Aidan O'Brien respectively.

Alanza was well fancied for the Sceptre Stakes and the three-year-old filly justified the confidence in gritty fashion, responding superbly to Johnny Murtagh's urgings to repel Dever Dream.

Reply defied top weight to scoop the near £210,000 pot for landing the Weatherbys Insurance 300,000 2-y-o Stakes. Kevin Ryan's Bogart was sent off a well-backed favourite and set out to make all. He held sway with a furlong to run, but folded once challenged and Reply stuck on superbly under trainer's son Joseph O'Brien to take the prize at 20/1 - beating Factory Time and Lestgoroundagain.

"He jumped quick, I got a nice lead and was towed into the race," Joseph O'Brien said. "The ground has been a bit slow for him the last couple of starts, it was a bit better today and he enjoyed it."
