Leading Irish fancy Last Instalment has been ruled out of the RSA Chase at the Cheltenham Festival after picking up a tendon problem.

Philip Fenton's seven-year-old has left a deep impression in his four outings over fences. He enhanced his reputation at the weekend with fantastic round of jumping to land the Dr PJ Moriarty Chase at Leopardstown.

That win was expected to tee him up for a tilt at The Festival, but Fenton has been forced to ease off his charge on account of injury.

"He's not going to run again this season," Fenton said. "He was a little sore after Leopardstown, so I thought we'd play safe.

"He's jarred both tendons I'm afraid as is on the easy list. He won't run again before the end of the season, but will hopefully be back next year."
