Frankel will not race in the Irish Champion Stakes, after trainer Sir Henry Cecil opted not to enter the four-year-old in the Group One race at Leopardstown.

Frankel extended his unbeaten run to 10 races with an impressive win in the Lockinge Stakes at Newbury at the weekend, but is not among the entries for the race in Ireland on September 8.

Stablemate Twice Over is due to race, however.

"It's a great race and everything, but it's not in his programme," Cecil told the Guardian. "If, say, he's going to go for the Sussex Stakes [Goodwood, August 1] and then the Juddmonte [York, August 22], then he can't run in that, too.

"We can't enter him in everything."
