Camelot tops Derby dozen

Aidan O'Brien has five of the 12-strong acceptors for the Derby, spearheaded by odds-on favourite Camelot.

Saturday's Epsom Classic is dominated by the Irish trainer, who has left in Astrology, Father Of Science, Imperial Monarch and Tower Rock as well as his 2000 Guineas winner Camelot.

Andrew Balding's Bonfire, winner of the Dante Stakes - a renowned Derby trial - is viewed as the chief rival to the unbeaten Camelot.

Chester Vase hero Mickdaam is set to be Richard Fahey's first Derby runner, while Lingfield Derby Trial winner Main Sequence, Cavaleiro, Minimise Risk, Rugged Cross and Thought Worthy complete the field.
