Izzi Top grabbed her first Group One victory in the Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday.

She triumphed by a length-and-a-quarter under William Buick, ahead of favourite Sapphire, who made most of the running before being overhauled inside the last quarter-mile.

Izzi Top was up against a four-strong field, following three withdrawals - Was, Maybe and Bible Belt - due to the ground conditions.

Elsewhere at the Curragh, Sendmylovetorose made it two from two by landing the Group 3 Grangecon Stud Stakes from True Verdict, who started favourite.

Famous Name registered a 17th win by taking the International Stakes for a third time, finishing well clear of second-placed Defining Year.

Britain's Gregorian came up just short as Aesop's Fables took the Prix Jean Prat at Chantilly. Gregorian, with Mickael Barzalona on board, was at the head of the field a furlong out, but jockey Maxime Guyon had the race under his spell, and he came through strongly at the end to give Aesop victory, with Coup De Theatre in third.
