The world's best horse Frankel is "bouncing" ahead of his bid to stretch his winning run to 12 races at Glorious Goodwood next month, according to trainer Teddy Grimthorpe.

The four-year-old racked up an 11th straight victory with a devastating display in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot last month.

Sir Henry Cecil's colt can make it 12 wins on the spin in the Qipco Sussex Stakes on August 1, before he heads to York for the Juddmonte International on August 22 for what will be his first race over a mile and a quarter.

Grimthorpe, racing manager to owner Khalid Abdullah, told Sky Sports News: "Frankel is in very good form. He came back from Ascot in great nick - bouncing, eating, kicking.

"I think Henry was really happy with him after Ascot and we want him to come out of a race like that.

"As for the future he's heading towards the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood on August 1. Then, all being well, he'll go to York for the Juddmonte."
